Another November Over
Dec 2008

The weather was kind to us, right up to the 8th of November when all the crews got a complete soaking, but its better than 10 days of rain. We did 22 events over the week of the 5th and December is looking pretty busy as well with New Year Fireworks and a number of confetti jobs planned, be nice to have a few days off in January

Firework Display Budgets
Nov 2008

We have now fired a number of shows with this seasons stock, and are delighted that the changes we have made to compensate for the price increases have paid off and the shows are still stunning audiences. The missing effects are more than compensated by some of the new ones - dragon eggs with mines and the new blink peony cakes fill the sky better than ever - should be a great November.

Serious Price Increases

Sept 2008

In common with all UK firework companies, we have had increases across the board from the Chinese factories from whom we source almost all our fireworks. Up to 70% increases on some items, this will have an effect on all our shows. Our manufacturers have worked hard to design out some of the cost increases, by eliminating some of the most costly chemicals and making better use of effect spread to allow an effect to run slightly slower whilst maintaining the shows integrity. There are a few whistle based effects we cannot justify ordering this year, the increase takes the item from nice but pricey to, too expensive. We will work with all our regular clients to ensure their audiences still watch a stunning show for the money spent.

A memorable wedding

Apr 2008

We were delighted to be chosen to supply the fireworks celebrating Colin Mongomerie's wedding From the Daily Record's report of the day -

Colin Montgomerie's £10K fireworks gift to new bride Gaynor

AS grand gestures go, Colin Montgomerie's firework tribute to his new bride was certainly up there. The golf ace splashed out £10,000 on a fireworks finale to his wedding celebrations. And the icing on the cake was a giant red loveheart which exploded in the skies for his new wife Gaynor Knowles. The display at 11pm on Saturday topped off a lavish celebration for Monty, 44, and heiress Gaynor,40, on the banks of Loch Lomond. Around 300 guests, including actor Hugh Grant and model Jodie Kidd, attended the bash in the Rossdhu clubhouse at the Loch Lomond Golf Course.

Cryo Jet System
Dec 07

The team have a new toy - CO2 cryojets - like the liquid nitrogen smoke systems beloved of London's West End and Las Vegas but portable and safer. The DMX computer controlled "smoke" jets use liquid CO2 in a spray to create an instant cloud of smoke, which vanishes just as quickly. Great for reveals and music events where pyro is unsuitable.

New Year Fireworks
Oct 07

The usual shows are planned for New Year, along with 1 wedding for Hogmanay. Last year we fired all but 1 show in the horrible weather that hit, so hopefully no repeats and we are warm and dry (I know fat chance) but you have to dream

Scottish Fireworks Championships
May 2007

A great evening of fireworks from all the contestants, sadly we did not win, but against some companies with very deep pockets, we put on a good show. The winners now get to do it all again in Plymouth at the UK Firework Championships 2007, enjoy the drive boys, turn right and drive 500 miles.

Elaine C Smith looks unconcerned by the stage flame machines behind her, marshmallows were discussed when she first saw the fireballs they produce, while outside guests are met by elegant flame bowls.
